hope is the thing with feathers

okay, so. today has been very productive, drawing-wise!

I did this:

and then kat wanted an alligator, so I made this:

But THEN I made this thing. amy was like 'start from the top' because she does collages and is smart, so I started from the top and made a wallpaper thingy. it has mountains! LOTS AND LOTS OF THEM.

today I was fussing around in illustrator, learning more stuff. yay! well, I learn by copying other artists, since I don't have much of a style of my own yet. ANYWAY, today I copied a really really talented illustrator who goes by 'Ben the Illustrator'. I am looking to copy more from him because OMG HIS STYLE. I want to roll around in it and stuff.

so anyway, today I was blatantly copying ben the illustrator in order to learn some line work, and I came up with this:

I actually kinda like my own better? the colors are slightly different (I like ben's orange better) but I like my birds more. :D

my zazzle store

I have been making patterns! and learning Adobe Illustrator! and stuff! that's about all I have been doing. but I am really liking my zazzle store and plan to do a lot with it. right now I am just doing a couple of cool patterns, but if anyone has ideas for shirts or the like, let me know and I will see what I can do.

I'm using Illustrator so much lately and barely touch any other programs. I really really love it.

I had therapy today. One of the things I have to work on is telling myself I am worthy of love and respect. I've been telling myself I am worthless for a good fifteen or twenty years or something like that, so it's difficult to get out of that rut. Anyone else have that problem? Or have you had it in the past and managed to get over it? When I was in therapy for PTSD and other DV-related problems, I did really well, but apparently the old ways of thinking have come creeping back. My depression has been really bad lately because of it. Also, fighting with mom is never fun. :\
