TODAY IS MEG'S 18TH BIRTHDAY AND I CAN'T BELIEVE I FORGOT TO POST TO CELEBRATE THAT!

So, I've been angsting quite a lot over my 35th birthday. Which is in 5 days. The 6th... write it down on your calendars! I expect lots of hugs and possibly cupcakes!
But yeah, I've been crying over it. A lot. I don't know why, I don't think other people who are 35 or older are OLD or anything. It just sounds like such a horrid number for me. I don't FEEL 35.
I don't know about you... but I'm feeling 22...everything will be alright...if you keep me next to you...

lim and we started talking about HATS. Because apparently if you go to a wedding in England you're expected to wear a hat! Or a fascinator, if you're under 35.
And for a minute I was like, oh, well, that makes sense, you can't wear the cutesy fascinator if you're OLD. And thenlim was like NO GREENIE! It's the other way round! You can't wear a hat if you're under 35, but you can wear a hat OR a fascinator if you're over 35. Because only the 35 and older set can really pull off a hat.
So like, I don't know why that changed my entire worldview. But dudes, I can wear a fascinator or a hat. I can pull off a hat, because being 35 is AWESOME.
...not that hats are a thing here. But if they were? I'd rock something like this.

We're going to court this afternoon to get guardianship of Meg. It shouldn't take long, but we have to lug the wheelchair around because there's poor parking at the courthouse and Meg can't walk that far.
I'm writing. It's coming along really well. My Awake fusion (which is sorta like the Watches 'verse in Sherlock fandom? but different) has plot now. I know where it's going. I just ... am having trouble getting there. But I will prevail! :D?

1. music! I lost allll my music and so far my "collection" is a handful of CDs (Nirvana, U2, Jane's Addiction, and System of a Down) that I can't access (although maybe I could play them on the xbox?) and some MCR and Adele downloads. I would love it if someone made a (downloadable) mix for me.
2. fic! you do not have to write me fic, I just want recs. I like 'omg finally' first time sex (after sufficient pining), werewolves, vampires, and really really smart people. (Sherlock and Rodney! not together, although ... yeah. um.)

3. feedback on my fics! or like, nice words. life has been shitty lately and for someone to say, 'hi, thanks for being my friend' or 'you mean something to me' goes a long way.
