When I was deep in Guardian fandom (I still visit from time to time, but most of my brain that was taken up by fannish things has been taken up by original works lately) I wanted to make a video of Dixing's people. Like all the non-main characters who were on the sidelines, just trying to live their lives somehow.

The song Beautiful Creatures by ILLENIUM & MAX (lyric video) was just so so perfect for this subject. I wish desperately I had time and inclination+talent to make this vid, but I think everyone should listen to the song and think about all the side characters and guest characters who make up the Dixingren.

This is something I've been working on that might turn into soft BDSM or... not, who knows. I'm just writing it.

Zhao Yunlan laughs bitterly. "He's running himself ragged, cleaning up your mess. And then he comes here and tries to connect with you. To make you… better, or something, I'm not sure. He loves you too much to abandon you. And it's killing him."

That's enough of that. Shen Wei walks in and stands in front of Ye Zun, facing Zhao Yunlan. "What are you doing here?"

Zhao Yunlan looks at him suspiciously for a moment, an expression more suited for their early days than now. Then he smiles. "I came to have a chat with Ye Zun. Obviously."

Shen Wei narrows his eyes. "You do not need to tell him anything." Nothing like what he said, anyway. The situation is in no way as dire as Zhao Yunlan paints it.

"Gege," Ye Zun whispers.

Shen Wei stiffens and turns around. His heart starts beating faster. "You-"

"Tell me you aren't letting my situation affect you so much." His brother looks worried.

Shen Wei tries to smile. "He's being dramatic."

"I'm not the dramatic one in this room," Zhao Yunlan mutters.

My writing output is kaput. Even if I manage to write something, it's not really postable or salvageable. I think I'll just keep calling them writing exercises. Yesterday I wrote about 500 words of Zhao Yunlan [redacted for spoilerish reasons] (Because apparently, this is how I roll.) The main idea will probably make its way into a fic at some point but the writing itself is just... words.

I've only written 7k this month. But I think it's down to me needing to get to know how to write these new characters, so it doesn't come as easily as, say, characters I've spent years with. I can't just bang out 15k word fics at this point like I'm used to. But I'll get there. I just need to keep working at it.

The vampire!ZYL fic needs a lot of editing but it's getting there. Maybe I'll be able to finish it up and edit and have it up in a week or two. For now, eh. We'll see what happens.

I'm happy to gush and cheerlead for others, though.

I put a couple of pictures up in the Guardian wiki, which I am SO excited about. The only wiki I've ever contributed to before is Fanlore, and only a few things there if I include my own page. I look forward to contributing what I can to the Guardian wiki, though. I love fan projects, and at least a wiki doesn't require me to make a big commitment - I can do what I can when I can, and that's all I have to do.

I've seen 8 episodes of Detective L now and I'm just so happy with it. It's such fun fluff.

I need to work on my thingy for the Guardian exchange. I'm not happy with it so far, but I'll get there.

I'm having so much fun getting bloody-bee-tea into Guardian. She really loves Lao Chu. I've just got to get her over here to DW and we'll be set! The fandom on Tumblr seems pretty dead, at least compared to here.

I rewatched the last eps, but I'm watching also with Bee (we just finished 27). So my head is all over the place. I have a million fic ideas but no actual output on them yet. Mostly my fannish creative outlet has been icons lately...

Oh, and I've been listening to lots of music and deciding if it's Guardian music or not. lol

I wrote Guardian fic! I'm still shaky on characterizations but I'm getting there. Nervous AF to post it, but oh well. for fan_flashworks

I dropped out of two bangs. The first, the Steter Reverse Bang, I feel the most guilty about. The WIP Big Bang is no big deal; no one was counting on me and I didn't have an art partner.

I can put the bot fic on temporary hiatus until I'm feeling the Teen Wolf muse again, and until then I can just... chill.

I do still have 2 Fandom Trumps Hate fics I have to write, but they aren't due until December so hopefully, that gives me plenty of time to stop being quite so obsessed with Guardian.

In Guardian news, I have written about 1500 words of a ridic vampire!ZYL fic. AND I made a pretty edit of The Sprawl.
