1. OKAY. First of all, I would like to announce that I'm running getmikeylaid again this year. I missed last year because of computer difficulties, and the year before because of, um, brain difficulties. Or maybe it was the other way around? But anyway, the fest WILL be on. So go ahead and join/watch the comm (if you are into MIKEYWAY and his need to GET LAID) and I will put up a prompt post TOMORROW.

2. purimgifts: a little bird told me this is going again this year? I hope so! It's an awesome multifandom swap. From the FAQ:

Since Purim is the ultimate Jewish women power holiday, ficlets should be focused around one or more of the following:
characters who are Jewish and/or
characters who are women and/or
characters who are persecuted by evil viziers (hey, it's not us, it's the megillah.)

3. tentaclebigbang! Writer and artist/podfic/mix signups are OPEN. I'm already signed up for both. The minimum word count is only 10k, and it's multifandom, including RPS and original.

4. amplificathon! I'm just discovering podfic (I'm slowwwww, okay?) and this is an awesome way to find stuff. Or post it, if you make podfic.

5. fan_flashworks is TREMENDOUS. I haven't done anything for them yet, but the responses are really great.

6. mikeyway_daily posts pics of Mikey Way and I like to squee.

7. bestthingever and fancake for recs!

8. teen_wolf, which needs to be more active. I vow to post something to them this week. Or next week. SOON, anyway.

okay, stuff about me that's not fannish.

wait, y'all already KNOW this stuff. didn't I just do one of those 'about me' posts where I pretty much told you my life story?

lemme think of something I haven't said recently: oh! I'm looking to get into freelance writing again. a new friend (I met him on OKCupid) is setting me up with people, or something like that. idk, I'm not completely sure yet. I do need money though. I am DESPERATE for money. I also considered drawing mosaic patterns and stained glass patterns to sell on etsy. still might. I'm not sure.

I have bipolar II, did I tell you that? I'm on meds, lots of them, and I'm more stable than I've been in a long time. So I'm hoping I can do some work at home stuff without freaking out. in the past I tried but it didn't really work out because I was just ... crazy.
