From my XueXiao cop/hitman AU WIP:

Xue Yang holds a piece of ice to Xingchen's lips. "Suck."

Xingchen's lips part as he takes the ice into his mouth. It should not be as sensual as it is.

"I'm afraid you're stuck with me," Xue Yang tells him.

"Where's my phone?" Xiao Xingchen asks once he's had two pieces of ice.

Xue Yang had tracked him with it and figured the authorities could, as well. "Gone into the lake, the same as your gun."

"I need to call someone," Xingchen says weakly.

"You need to rest," Xue Yang tells him. "Don't worry about the outside world right now. You were hurt. You could have died."

Xingchen's delicate fingers pat over his middle and chest. "I feel okay." He tries to sit up.

"Stop it," Xue Yang says irritably, pushing him back down. "You need to stay in bed for now."

"I don't need to-"

Xue Yang presses harder on Xingchen's chest and smiles. "Don't make me tie you down."

Current Mood: satisfied

It's so funny - now that I've seen all of The Untamed and poked around at AO3 a little, I have no ideas or whim to write WangXian at all. ( Their story is so good and... ) But the others in the drama* give me all kinds of feels and inspiration. I have like 4 or 5 vague ideas for XueXian** fic, and have already written about 2k words of them.

So while my favorite character, hands down (as of this writing) is Wei Wuxian and I love him soooo much, I am absolutely fascinated by Xue Yang and want to explore his character through writing dark fluff with somewhat happy endings.

IF ANYONE WANTS A FEW ICONS for The Untamed, just drop me a screencap (from the drama) you like or something like that and I'll do it for you! All characters/ships welcome.

*I haven't read the novel yet and probably won't for awhile
**Of course I get invested in the MOST problematic ship because that's how I roll, apparently

PS: I'm probably going to stop crossposting to LJ soon. If you read me exclusively at LJ and that will be a problem for you, let me know and I'll reconsider. But I'm pretty sure that's not the case for anyone anymore.

short life update:
laws about meds you need on a regular basis SUCK and I'm so pissed off at people who take my prescriptions (not MINE but ones like mine) for fun and fuck it up for me.
