Humanity faces its final threat: the common house cat!
Night of the Living Cat, volume 1 by Hawkman & Mecha-Roots

And as human cat lovers, we're totally okay with that arrangement. We win either way, doting on a kitty overseer with all of our might, hoping they'll one day courey favor in the form of freshly made biscuits. For when a feline decides to make biscuits on your tummy, your lap, or your chest, you've been rewarded 10-fold for your loyal servitude, and it makes every midnight laser pointer game, every tin can of wet food, and every scratched-up ankle worth it.
Although they run the house with an iron fist and a sprinkling of kitty litter in the bathroom, cats are fair and just rulers. Judging out transgressions from atop the refrigerator, cats see all and decide the fate of their humans. While they love us, clearly, they also want us humans to remember our place in the world: Second, of course, to the floofy kitties.
If you've found a fellow cat lover who shares your affinity for the mewghty overlords, they can become your closest confidante. Cherishing cats is more than just a hobby or a passing of the time, but an honorable, life-long mission. Cats don't get nearly as much love as they deserve, so when you combine your interest with another cat lover, suddenly your love is compounded. Cats know this. It's for this reason that the kitties at the rescue, the ones on the street, and the freshly delivered batch of kittens from the CDS seek out cat lovers who are friends or partners with other cat lovers. Exponential cat affection is the name of the game here.
When we hear the pitter-patter of their dainty paws running towards the kitchen, we know it's their dinner time, but also our favorite moment of the day. In exchange for their timely meal, cats reward us with a face rub, a flickering tail, and an adorable mew to melt our hearts. Win-win. Purrhaps cats know more than we give them credit for, huh? It's these meowticulous cat moments that make us question ourselves, because cat supurreority is real and every cat owner can attest to it. Do we love this arrangement? Of course. Will we ever question the love of our cats again? Certainly not.
Now, carry on and enjoy some cat memes that are bound to please the over rulers as much as they are guaranteed to boost your mood.

Laughter is the best medicine, so they say. If you really believe something then it can be true. Cats are natural born laughter machines, they're gigglers, snickerers, and comedic genius. Humor is innate to their whiskers, pointed ears, and fur. What do you think they're doing when they knock your keys off the table? They're laughing behind your back! And speaking of comedy, Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors is one of his earliest and most chaotic plays. It's exponentially more and more chaotic and confusing, hence its title. It's built entirely around confusion, mistaken identity, and absurdity. Antipholus of Ephesus and his identical twin Antipholus of Syracuse are separated in infancy. Unaware that their other half exists wandering around with the same face and DNA in the same city, they cross paths, with in turn causes the decline of everyone's known reality. Ordinary interactions become intertwined with absurdity, confusion, and dissociation.
The play ultimately is about reunion and restoration. Though it lacks a certain poetic depth compared to his later works, it's still precise and genius in its comedic timing, its themes of identity and self-knowledge, and slapstick humor. The confusion resolves when the twins are finally brought together, revealing the truth of their identities. And even if you're not a huge Shakespeare fan, you can still get behind the notion that laughter is the best medicine. Cats give us joy, they give us laughter, and they like to laugh themselves. Not everything has to be hard, a giggle a day goes far.
