Feb. 28th, 2021 09:05 amI've been getting a box of organic veggies and fruits from Misfits Market* every two weeks. (If anyone wants a code, hmu! the prices are good if you already buy organic, or even if you don't and want some good stuff for a change, plus it's FUN) So I picked mangos in this box and got sent two of them.
Here's the thing: I've only ever had mango from the store in a plastic container, already sliced, and I thought I didn't like it because they sold them... not ripe, I guess? the ones I had before were hard and not juicy, with very little flavor.
Today I had a ripe organic mango for the first time and it was practically an orgasmic experience. I've never tasted fruit so good before.
*the produce from Misfits isn't really ugly at all. It's always delicious, and sometimes it's slightly funny looking.
