Nov. 22nd, 2012 01:34 pmI was so disappointed when I found that there were no Elephant Princess fics on ao3. HOWEVER, I found some on ff.net.
Also, I found out that my favorite character's actor has played a gay character in a short film or two. PICS OR IT DIDN'T HAPPEN.
I'm cooking. The turkey will be done in an hour and then I just have to make crescent rolls and dinner will be SERVED.
I've been playing a lot of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning lately. It's pretty good. The gameplay is great and the story is good and the best part is that you can 'change your fate'. If you don't like the way you've built your character, you can CHANGE it. You go to a 'fateweaver' and have all your points given back and you can start over with abilities and what weapons you are good with and what activities (like blacksmithing, alchemy, etc.) you're good at. It's really unlike any game I've played before in that respect. You can go in playing a warrior, change it to mage, change it to rogue, go more balanced, whatever you want! And that's part of the story, because you're called The Fateless One. Okay, any more and we're getting into spoiler territory, but it's a really good game if you like 3rd person RPGs. :D!
Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate. Well, by celebrate I mean those of you who stuff yourself and ignore the horrible cultural things about the holiday. (Is it better or worse than Columbus Day, do you think?) It is good to have a day specifically for saying what you're thankful for, though.
I'm thankful for my mom and everything she does (that doesn't suck). I'm thankful that Meg is alive and (mostly) well. I'm thankful for Zachary, who calls me now almost every day. Our relationship is better than ever. And I'm thankful for my son DJ, who is going to get over himself any day now.
