ugh, hat in hand

meds are ripping my stomach to shreds
the weather is doing weird things to my back (ow)
I have bills... coming out of my ears
still can't leave the house, jfc wtf

if anyone wants to help with my electric bill, which is out of control (mobile home, because of the A/C, must keep meg cool for seizure reasons), PM me? it's $160 and I can't afford it (and they don't take paypal)

OR if you wanna help out with the gas/meg & me doc appt stuff, which is eating us up, paypal works. anthony.melissa@rocketmail.com

or if you have tips on getting my meds to stop making me run to the bathroom all day, those are appreciated, too! \o/ (I've been trying to eat, but my appetite is gone as well, so a few mouthfuls of yogurt are all I'm getting down during the day)

I feel like a creep.

My partner is a genius at researching meds and side effects, if you want to let me know what all you're taking (here or by pm), she may be able to come up with something to help.

Red flag - side effects for Depakote

[personal profile] teaotter 2013-08-02 09:20 pm (UTC)(link)
If you're taking Depakote, you really need to call your doctor -- this is from the website for the drug:

Seek emergency medical attention if the person taking this medicine has nausea, vomiting, upper stomach pain, or loss of appetite, low fever, dark urine, clay-colored stools, or jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes). These symptoms may be early signs of liver damage or pancreatitis.

Another website mentioned back pain in association with pancreatitis -- which I know is possible, it was one of the signs of my dad's pancreatic problems.

The acute pancreatitis is mostly in babies/kids, and is pretty acute - you'd be REALLY sick - but best to ask the doc, yes.
Ginger tea for nausea - raw ginger grated and infused (+/- honey).
Psyllium products for runny bowels - acts like blotting paper and generally good for you anyway. (Psyllium's in: Alramucil, Cilium, Fiberall, Genfiber, Hydrocil, Konsyl, Maalox Daily Fiber Therapy, Metamucil, Natural Fiber Therapy, Natural Vegetable, Perdiem Fiber, Reguloid, Serutan, Syllact, Uni-Laxative, V-Lax).
Hope it settles! Hard, from the sound of it, but try to take the depakote with food. Dry water crackers?

Hi, [personal profile] teaotter's partner here! (Insert not-a-doctor disclaimer, etc.)

Before anything else, I want to ask if the back pain is new along with the stomach trouble just because if it is, that's kind of a "go to the doctor immediately" thing? vs. if it has some other known cause.
