school stuff. money stuff. mom stuff.

I don't know if I'm going to be able to go to school. Mom is looking for a job. Gas is expensive. Leaving the house is hard. I have no transportation other than Mom. I'm broke. So, so fucking broke.

I haven't put in the last of the financial aid papers yet. Going to try to do that this afternoon. I don't know if there's a point, though -- I might not be able to go. If Mom gets a job, I won't be able to. No transportation. No public transportation in my area. Even with mom not working, I'd still have to pay for gas.

This is coming after social security cut Meg's SSI check by about 250 bucks. Oh, and she no longer gets personal care or respite care.

Mom is in a funk, completely depressed, crying all the time, and will not go to a goddamned doctor to get put on meds. She's undiagnosed bipolar, and the downs are KILLING me.

I want to go to school. I think if I keep going to therapy and keep working at it, I would be able to leave the house and finish homework and do what I need to do.

But things keep popping up to get in my way. I don't know what to do.

life is pretty sucky lately.

Oh, sweetness, I'm so sorry. I hate how stress seems to come from overwhelming, multiple sources all at once. *holding you*

I'm so sorry you have to deal with this crap, and I'm so angry at the people in government who are making those decisions. Yeah, sure, times are tight (thanks to the greedy and possible illegal decisions of a bunch of rich people), but shouldn't taking care of the state's most vulnerable people be a high priority?

*hugs you* Put in the last of the financial aid paperwork. You never know what will happen. You might even be able to get a small grant or loan for books/gas/misc.

Keep fighting for what you want, hon.

The spouse & I have gone through times like that--nothing goes right, debts piling up, illness & seemingly no way out.

Keep trying is all I can say. Fill out the aid forms, see if there is a local food bank (where you and your mom can volunteer a couple hours and in return get a weeks worth of groceries (and save $$), and check these people out. I've been told they can help:

Good luck!
