This morning I posted Welcome to the Fire, Zhao Yunlan's POV of what I'm lovingly calling drunk night.

And today I wrote about 1280 words of Shen Wei's POV of drunk night, moving into the morning after. Shen Wei is ridiculous, he really is. I love him to pieces but he can be an idiot. Pining! Misunderstandings! EEEEEE! I showed what I wrote to Bee, wondering if maybe there's TOO MUCH pining. Her response was like, "There's only too little pining or the correct amount of pining. There is no such thing as too much pining."

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS TOO MUCH PINING. I stand by that point. At least you didn't bring in the Hanahaki (yet) so clearly there's room for more pining ;)

No because if it only feels like dying the other one (who is also pining) can't fret over the other, thinking he has no right to worry like this because STUPID REASONS AND PINING

I had to look up hanahaki, and I've now realized that I need to read a million stories with it. Thank you!

Hanahaki was a gift to fandom in general and can you even imagine Shen Wei catching it? So much pining with such horrible consequences.

And yes, Shen Wei is ridiculous. Possibly the only one who might be more ridiculous is Ye Zun? IDK but I suspect this is part of why Yunlan loves them. ahahahahaaaa

It's true, there is no such thing as too much pining, especially in any fic that has Shen Wei.

Yay! It's so much fun to write, if you like pining and angst. I do, as long as I know it's going to (eventually) end in happy times and hot threesome sex, you know? :D
