Most Recently: Staying up late to read clasp it in your hand (hide it in your heart), getting up to reread it, then reading it again the next night.

Years Ago: Having a good Christmas for my kids because DW buddies bought every single thing on their Amazon wishlist.

Several Years Ago: Staying up late to RP, then getting up early to do it some more.

Even More Years Ago: Offering acquaintances LJ codes so they could get their own journal and participate in fandom that way, then later becoming friends with them via that platform.

First Steps in Fandom: Tentatively reaching out to a siterunner and having my first fics published on a real website.

I miss those days a lot sometimes but we've all come so far.

I remember getting an invite to join LJ, and the wonderful person who patiently helped me navigate it when I couldn't figure it out at first.

Fandom peeps can be the best peeps. I'm glad your kids had a good Christmas that year.
