I haven't been around DW or LJ much lately, but I haven't been around Tumblr lately, either, so all me interaction is coming through IM with two or three people. Which is great, that's fine, but I'm losing touch with my flist/circle, and I kind of hate that. I keep thinking 'I don't like the way fandom has changed' but I keep forgetting that a lot of the change I've been feeling is my own damned fault.

41. Favorite fluffy tropes? I don't read much (if any) fic that is fluff and only fluff. I like fluff to come with a heap of angst, which is pretty much just emotional h/c fic. I'm trying to think of a fluff trope in particular, and I guess I'd go with either de-aged or unwilling animal transformation (so not Animagus forms or werewolves who go full wolf, though those are fun too), and some fluffy mpreg sometimes if the rest of the fic is a bit angsty.

I adore, cherish, and squee over crossovers. I like fusions, too, but I love crossovers even more. I've read a lot of them, and I probably can't really come up with an all-time absolute favorite. However, this one I'm reccing here is DAMNED good and definitely worth reading, and probably in my top 5 if not the top spot entirely.

I recommend skipping the first fic listed in the series and diving straight into the 2nd, Rock Happy, since that's where the story really starts.
38. How do you feel about genderbending? De-aging? Animalizing?
I don't really like fics where something happens and suddenly a character wakes up with different genitalia than they went to sleep with. They almost always bug the hell out of me, really. I think I've read one I liked, and in it John Sheppard's gender was actually female and she welcomed the new body, even though she was closeted and everyone assumed she was a cis male. It was a sad story, too, because they 'fixed' her and she got her (unwanted) dick back. But that story is definitely not the norm when it comes to these sorts of fics.
I like other sorts of genderbending, though, like always-cis-female fics and fics where a character is trans or intersexed, and a lot of ABO fics where characters struggle with their biological urges or whatever. Those usually great and I love reading different takes on characters who are usually OMG MANLY MENS in canon.
De-aging can be awesome, especially when it leads to hurt/comfort, emotional revelations, protective urges, stuff like that.
I'm guessing 'animalizing' means... animal transformation? Or is this like where it's so AU the characters are all actual animals in a forest or a zoo or whatever? I guess it doesn't matter, because I like alllll of that.
