You know when would be a good time to have an epiphany about a fic? In the middle of the fic, maybe. Or even, dare I say it, at the beginning.

NOT AT THE END, when you've already written the whole thing out and there isn't much wiggle room for this new characterization/character facet you've decided would really bring the story together.

Ugh.

Well, if you don't want to re-write the whole thing, you can always do a remix of your own story.
