ideas? thoughts? prompts?

I am brainstorming ideas for my 'gender play' square in kink bingo. I want to do Pam (from True Blood) at the turn of the century, but I don't know how to push it from 'crossdressing' into actual 'gender play'. One idea is having her play at being a young male prostitute who gets off on passing. I think I nicked that from Tipping the Velvet. I'm not sure I want to do that in particular, though.

Does anyone have any ideas on gender play for a female character in about 1900? I will shamelessly steal all your ideas. :D

OOOH! Okay, I've been doing random/superficial research into the Edwardian period for my ladiesbigbang, so this hits A LOT of my current kinks.

I think pushing it from crossdressing into gender play might be a matter of Pam enjoying accessing a different facet/element of her personality? Something?

- she could pose as a sailor to pick up trade in the shipyards?
- play at being a young fop in urban society?

Ooooh, your ideas are good ones! I don't know, maybe. Gambling might be something she could do that wouldn't be respectable for a woman but would be just fine for a young man. I can see her gambling in a dockside tavern and cleaning up. :)

Canon says she was turned during Victorian times and reveled in the freedom she got as a vampire, so we know she likes crossing boundaries and would probably love to pass as a man. Maybe even among other vampires, there would be a gender barrier. Hmmmm. Okay, now I'm all thinky and rambling. lol

i was going to suggest her getting into a upper class members-only men's club and passing herself off as someone's nephew or something, but i'm not sure where the kink would come in.... i like the idea of her passing as a sailor, tho.
