Okay, so now my son has gone back to his dad's and I will have more time to myself and for fannish endeavors and writing and such. I'll miss him like crazy but I've missed all of you, too.
Oh, man. I think that's a function of his age. I went on an Ayn Rand kick in my early teens, too. That was pre-internet, so there were zero politics attached to it; I just thought she was an interesting writer. I grew out of it. LOL I bet he will, too.
Oh, he's beyond just reading her books, he's bought into the whole philosophy stuff and the reason and logic behind everything Objectivism schtick. He is a lot like me and can't just enjoy something, he's gotta get WAY into it. I wish he was way into something like Star Wars instead. lol
But my hope is that he'll grow out of it, too. <333
I vaguely remember a bit about it from my teenage forays, and if I recall correctly, the basic premise is selfishness, right? There is no real altruism, everybody's out for themselves, and that's just the way the world works? As a very selfish person, that was pretty appealing to me as a kiddo. LOL

Hang in there.
