I have had some bad brain days BUT I have also written a bit. I got up yesterday at 4:30am and wrote about 1900 words, and this morning I wrote about 850. These are on two different WIPs though. I wish I could really get into ONE project and stick it out, but that doesn't appear to be happening anytime soon.

Hey, all writing is good writing! And 1900 words is more than the daily wordcount you need for NaNo, so that's pretty impressive all by itself. (Not that 850 is anything to sneeze at, either.) And the fact that it's a bad brain day just leaves me more impressed.

I'm mostly managing around 1000 words a day because my typing is slow (and right now because I'm stopping writing at 1K and moving on to outlining, because my WIP is languishing because Sofy and I haven't sorted out what happens next). So I'm in quiet awe.

My outlines aren't that much, usually--in this case, they are, but that's because I have a co-author and we need to be sure we're on the same page about what's happening when.

My outline for the thing I'm working on instead of the big WIP is: six snippets of dialogue I wrote when I got the original idea for the fic.

At least I arranged them in chronological order?

Yeah, I have a lot of things like that--I have an idea, but I haven't figured out how to get at the story yet.
