I finished ME3 and OMG. SOBBING. I sobbed through a lot of this game, actually. SHEP!!!!

I did this without the Mass Effect 3 Extended Cut so I'm pretty much a wreck. Now I just have to play the end again with the add-on so I can heal. I can heal from this, right?

No spoilers, but anyone attempting to finish the game should NOT play without the extended cut. This is my advice.

The really important question is which ending did you choose?

Yeah, I'm the kind of compulsive freakazoid who read through the ME wiki completely and knew what I needed to get what I wanted. I was the same way with ME2, too, so I've never actually lost a teammate on one of my runs. I still have one playthrough going where I have Ashley instead of Kaiden because I want to pick up the Marksman bonus power, but I just HATE HER SO MUCH that it's hard for me to keep going with that one.

You're in luck, though, the Mass Effect series is honestly one of the most replayable games I've seen.

Oh, and, secondary comment, in case you want to do a playthrough in which you still have your romance, I recommend hitting up Mass Effect Saves, where you can go through and find one that suits you so that you can start Mass Effect 3 with all the people/interactions you want. If you do that though I recommend pulling up the file in ME2 first and untraining all of your abilities because the way the character ports over specs out abilities in ways that aren't necessarily how you'd chose to build them.

The extended cut is like a soothing bandage, it helps hold you together and stop the bleeding, but there's still that gaping hole of sobs and tears and SHEP.

Did you get all of the DLC?? Cause the "farewell" DLC with Shep's apartment is the only thing that comes close to actually letting that wound scab over. It was SO GOOD and PRECIOUS and PERFECT.
