Hey, just wanted to let you know that the link to your derek/stiles Pinterest tag doesn't work. I think you need to use "http://pinboard.in/u:greenie-green/t:derek%252fstiles" instead of "t:derek/stiles". The internet doesn't seem to like the slash mark.
Huh. I don't think there's any way to change the coding except manually since it's an automated feed. OR I could just change all my derek/stiles to sterek and problem solved!
This set me off on into a meta think about porn and betaing. Because this fic absoutely would hit my kinks, as does the vid it was based on, but I couldn't read more than 3 or 4 paras because of the writing /o\. Like, this is what happens in my head, reading it: (Note that the above beta comments are not how I'd actually do it if I was betaing - I'd be more diplomatic in the feedback phrasing.) So that's not very conducive to enjoying porn! Anyway, it made me wonder if writers sometimes don't get work they consider to be porn betaed - maybe as they don't have a beta-reader they're comfortable running it past, or maybe porn's not considered worthy of betaing? I don't know. For me, porn absolutely needs to be written reasonably well or it dumps me out of the scene into SPAG-grumbling! But maybe I'm just weird and picky?
I don't know, maybe s/he did figure 'it's just porn, I'll throw it up on AO3 and not worry about a beta'. Personally, I had no problems with it, which makes me doubt my commitment to sparkle motion. (sorry, just woke up, movie reference time).
I don't think you're weird and picky. I think you would be an excellent beta reader. Let me know if you ever want to beta for me! :D
