my mom ... ugh.

that is all, really. I can't even put into words what she's doing that bothers me so badly. it's just annoying and horrible and ugh. UGH. she's putting up the xmas tree next, I think. and will complain about how we're not a family and we should trim the tree together and drink hot chocolate and sing carols.

my mom lives in a fantasy world*. I don't even celebrate xmas except for the kids.

*she really, really does. where Reagan was the best president ever but the 50s were great, and women's rights have ruined the world and men used to be men and ... blah blah blah.

I have had to tell my mother every December since I was 18 that I don't like Christmas and she is only just starting to retain the information, let alone accept my valid life choice to dislike tinsel (instead of getting her nose out of joint like I kicked her dog or something), so you're not alone.
