Air dry in the meantime? If you're used to using dryer sheets for fabric softener (which I habitually do myself), then I recommend white vinegar as fabric softener in the washer for being cheap as hell and effective. Goes in at the last rinse. ;)
At least--and I am knocking on wood in an interesting rhythm as I say this--it wasn't the washer that broke this time. Broken dryers are annoying but not like handwashing your jeans is.
