The Great Subconscious Club - Mikkeneko (AO3)
This series is amazing. It's got one of the best explanations of Loki's actions during the Avengers movie, not completely original but much more than a handwavey 'it was mind control/torture' or 'it was all a devious plot in Midgard's favor' and very well done. The friendship between Charles Xavier and Loki is very well written. Canon Charles usually sets me teeth on edge, but he's great here while still in-character. Loki's growth and healing is just awesome. The second fic in the series, 'Cover Up the Sun' features Loki being a total BAMF while protecting others - violent protectiveness is my bulletproof narrative kink and it's incandescent here. I rec this 'verse SO HARD.
