It's not making a mistake that's a problem, it's being an asshole after it's pointed out.

So true. I've made mistakes and I've been an asshole after it's pointed out, but hopefully I don't do that too often anymore. :) Fandom has really showed me how to respond to 'this hurts, stop doing it' comments.
