My lesbian neighbors are going to DC next month to get married! They had a commitment ceremony in 1999 but now it's going to be legal! Not here, but still. YAY GAY MARRIAGE!
Also, I hate April Fool's.
I want to write today, but I'm still depressed over the boys leaving and don't know if I can. I know what I want to write and all, but woe. So sad. :(
Tell me something happy, please. Or just leave me hugs. I could use them.

It's sunny, at the moment, between rainstorms, and I had a lovely walk to get my eyes checked. It was still lovely when I got out, and I loved it, in spite of the fact that I had to wear two pairs of sunglasses and a hat with a brim to get home after my eyes were dilated. Not always a fan of sun, but it's cold out today.
Most of my happy things are feline-related. I'm looking forward to care-taking tonight, which will involve brushing one of the shy white kitties, who loves being brushed, and who's relaxing and starting to play. Last night's new kitty was the sweetest long-haired tabby with the most gorgeous markings. He's charming and and friendly, and I think he'll get adopted really fast.
I'm so happy for your neighbors! I'm a huge fan of choice on the subject of marriage. Don't make me do it, and I'll cheer you on when you do. :p

Big hugs.
Here is a truly awful joke, which was told to me by my husband's uncle Irv, an absolute dear (he looked like Groucho Marx), who is still much missed.
Two men are walking in the forest when they come upon a severed head. One of the picks it up and holding it shoulder high, exclaims, "Good Lord! It's Kowalski!"
The other one looks at it and says, "Nah. Kowalski was taller."
