(no subject)

I need a life coach. And a writing coach. And a personal trainer, and a dietitian. I need someone to tell me how to manage the time I have. I don't know! I get hardly anything done and I have tons of time, truly.

today, though, today (after the agony and horribleness of weeks and weeks of nothing [fic-wise] written) I wrote 1740 words of something that is either a kink bingo fill or the beginning of a real-ass novel. Erotic novel. That I want to self publish because I have always wanted to self publish something! so I don't think I'll be posting it yet. maybe if I write more and get this actual real-ass novel finished, I can post this beginning as a teaser. I think it would make a great teaser. :D

het. ihni how this happened. the only time I think about het sex anymore is in a boys-turned-into-girls way. but then this thing happened. *hands*

I have paperwork and a phone call I need to make in order to do the whole financial aid thingy for school. I've been putting it off. I might be trying to sabotage, because I am scared to death of school.

okay. just wanted to say hi. going to go away and go back to writing now. :D?

say hi. I miss you all, so say hi to me.

I have to make lists of things I need to get done (sometimes in order of priority or scheduling) or things do not get done, because I am a master procrastinator and have the attention span of something with a very short attention span.

Today I'm putting off mowing the lawn. I hate mowing the lawn with a righteous fury but even better, the mosquitoes are terrible and I don't want to get eaten alive. It is too hot to mow the lawn in long jeans and bug spray never keeps me safe when I'm sweating. It's all terrible. Sadly, the lawn still needs to be mowed.

Edit: I FORGOT TO RETURN YOUR GREETING. HELLO, GREEN. :D

Sometimes I make multiple lists or sub-lists, eg. a broad list of shit to get done over a week to keep my eyes on the prize, and then maybe a daily list broken down into tasks. It's very satisfying to cross things off, even if it's like, 'eat breakfast' (aim low and win more, baby). And then I add or remove things if I have to. It's just for my eyes so I try not to stress, although sometimes when I actually SEE how much I have to get done all written down, I clutch at my head and wonder why I put things off so damn much.

It's an ongoing learning process, I guess.

Also, there are a zillion organization apps for iOS, android, desktop, any platform you care to use. Ever experimented with any? You might hit on something that works well for you. Me, I just buy small notebooks from walmart and then scribble in them but everybody's different.

For me, stress of lists < stress of unfinished tasks. Like I said, everyone's different, haha. Good luck with the organization thing! I think baby steps are best, I changed my ways a lot throughout university.

You can buy a mosquito/bug suit at many hardware stores. It's basically a loose, mesh suit. The top has a hood that zips all the way over your head. The ankles, waists, and wrists close with stretchy drawstrings. (You'll want to wear a hat under it, to keep it off your face. And you'll want to wear a shirt with short sleeves at the least, to keep the mesh off your skin.)

I believe my icon is all the answer we need for that. ;) I settled for mowing the lawn in the wind while wearing jeans, which helped some.
