hi. am in a tight financial situation.

my oldest son's birthday is almost here and I can't afford to buy him something (I wanted to get him a book which is $18.00 + shipping). But anyway, the reason I can't is because I have to pay for attorney fees and court costs (I have no idea how I'm going to do this, but I'll figure it out somehow) in order to be named as Meg's legal guardian. This is something required by law here when she turns 18, and it takes awhile so we're starting early. My first appointment is coming up and I have to pay $50 up front.

so ugh. can anyone loan me about $25 until the first of the month?

(I feel like such a loser.)

	I can get it for you for $19.34 (that includes tax and shipping). Working at B&N gives me a bigger discount. If someone can lend you the $20, I can purchase it for you. I guess it's a slippery slope because you're not supposed to profit off of it, but the reason I ask is because I was going to tell you to keep the money and write something for me in return and I thought the idea was good in general. I'm going to have to do *something* soon in order to pay these court fees, but I don't know what. I have some books I can sell, but actually getting interested buyers is hard when the books in question aren't brand new in-demand bestsellers. I wish I could just box up everything and sell it in bulk as a 'surprise' grab-bag type thing. lol
