trope bingo card!
Some of you already signed up and so I figured I would, too. Because I might as well. All I write are my favorite tropes anyway. :P
Card and some musing on the various tropes under the cut.
animal transformation: I've already sort of done this with my Wolf/Fox thingy. But since bingo fills have to be new works, I'd need to do something else. Maybe I'll write something to go along with the art.
curtain fic: HAHAHA okay, I can honestly say that one of my favorite fics I've ever written falls into this category. A Place Called Home is a Spike/Xander fic I wrote with![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
ladycat777 and it has ridiculous domestic schmoop. I would love to write a similar fic with Derek/Stiles, because the situations are similar. (Spike was living in a nasty, run-down place, Xander had a ridiculous crush and a need to nest. I can totes do that with Derek/Stiles, only with a werewolfy edge to it, right?)
sex pollen: MWAHAHA okay. I don't think I've ever written this before, not straight up sex pollen, have I? Wait, yes, with A Point of Vulnerability, there are sex drugs and Kirk is horny. I don't exactly like how I handled the non-con aspects of this, I kinda glossed over it entirely and went straight to the romance between Kirk and Bones. I was a little singleminded while writing Star Trek fic. Heh. But I can do a lot with this trope and I am sure I can write this. No problem at all.
fusion: Already writing an Awake/Teen Wolf fusion. It's coming along well! This will do for the fusion square, I think.
fuck or die: I have zero ideas for this. I wrote A Little Bit More (But Not Too Much) withladycat777 which is SGA Aliens Made Then Do It BDSM Style. I can't think of any other fuck or die scenarios I've written. I'll have to come up with something good. :D I have an idea. Must think on this.
au:steampunk: NO CLUE. I love the visuals of steampunk but have not a clue how to write it, so I'll probably draw something?
mind control: Working on it with a Loki/Clint fic I've had on the back burner for AGES.
celebratory kiss: what, like when the battle is over and everyone is relieved to be alive and running on adrenaline so they make out like the world is ending? I think I can do that. Pretty sure I've done it SEVERAL times, but have no specific examples.
accidental marriage: I have an idea about a primitive werewolf culture and Stiles getting caught up in becoming Derek's mate because he did something stupid. :D?
slavefic: YES I THINK I CAN DO THIS. Werewolves again, being put on the market as slaves, wearing some kind of suppression collars, Stiles wanting to rescue his best friend but ends up buying Derek instead. Together, they start a revolution. \o/
forced to marry: no clue. I'll think of something.
de-aged: I love this trope! I've never written it before, I don't think. (unless you count Mail Order Stiles, in which I’ve aged down the pack. but that’s not really de-aging.)
FREE SPACE: to be announced (probably A/B/O) (probably the Steve/Tony A/B/O I posted for WIP amnesty) (MWAHAHAHA)
au:coffee shop: not too thrilled about this one. I'll have to find a way to make it a VAMPIRE DETECTIVE coffee shop or something. I’ve read a couple of coffee shop AUs I’ve liked but I don’t have much interest in actually writing one. (I’ve never actually been in a coffee shop. they don’t have them around here. I mean, we have Waffle House for late-night coffee)
au:all human: that’s easy enough. Mail Order Stiles is all human. But I’ll have to write something else for this, like maybe Derek as a cranky librarian and Stiles as a bibliophile. :D? (I don’t know guys, it was the first thing that came to mind)
fake relationship: I don’t actually like this trope. Pretend!dating is so stupid to me. I’ve read a lot of it, but blah. IDK, you guys. Maybe a super short fic where the fakeness only lasts a moment and then there are feelings and it’s real?
soul bonding/soulmates: OH WOW. I think by now y’all know how I feel about this trope. In case you missed it? I LOVE IT SO MUCH. It’s right up there with amnesia and time travel. I might even switch up fandoms and write due South fic for this one. Or write multiple fics for this square. Or just write soulmates for the rest of my life, period.
time travel: :DDDDDD FAVORITE. I’ve never written it, which is a travesty. Stiles going back in time to prevent the Hale fire but making things worse somehow is the first idea I have, but I could do so many many things with this I can’t even begin to think of them all right now.
au:fantasy: um. as in dragons and magic? I can do that. :D
au:other: I need to look this up to see the guidelines. basically, just any AU? CAN DO.
handcuffed/bound together: I’d like to do this in combination with the full moon or something in Teen Wolf, so that there’s danger involved. :D
telepathy/mindmeld: ANOTHER trope I love love love. So many ideas I can’t even begin to say. I wrote it (sorta) in my Dragon Big Bang, and I’ve written it plenty in RP. Oh wait, I wrote it in Cycle of Souls which, by the way, is FULL of fannish tropes like vampires, soulmates, and reincarnation. :D
bodyswap: not really interested in this one much. idk, maybe a short fic where allison and scott switch bodies. that might be cute.
food porn: EW EW EW NO. next year I’ll be sure to make this my ‘no THIS THING please’ thing.
truth or dare: kinda juvenile. not really interested in writing it. dammit, I was hoping for a blackout on this card and there’s two or three tropes I just don’t want to do. :\ on second thought, going out of my comfort zone might be good for me?
